The Academia held a very successful series of Special Scientific Meetings as part of the 19th World conference on NDT held in Munich in June 2016. The lecturers were Academia members and participation was open to all conference attendees.

The following presentations were made:

Giuseppe Nardoni: 'Welcome to Academia: 'Actions to promote NDT into Universities as an Academic science'. Aim is to organise at the next European Conference a meeting with University leaders, Education decision makers and key people from Research Centres etc., on the theme: 'NDT - an intangible value for today's engineers’.

Prof. Gerd Dobman: 'Physical-Based-Life calculations (PHYBALProcedure) utilizing Electromagnetic NDT Data for Enhanced Management of Ageing Steel Infrastructure’.

Prof. Nenad Gucunski: 'Robotic Multi-NDE Technology Assessment of Reinforced Concrete Bridge Decks’. 

Dr. Serge dos Santos (co-author Zdenek Prevorovsky): 'The physical meaning of the autocorrelation function in NDT: a symbiosis between AE and UT thanks to signal processing’. Download PDF.
